UC celebrates Women's History Month
Women's History Month coincides with International Women's Day March 8
In celebration of March's Women's History Month, the University of Cincinnati offers an annual series of programs and events to honor and celebrate the achievements of women at UC and beyond who have faced challenges, conquered barriers, and worked to improve the world for all women.
The month-long celebration coincides with International Women's Day on March 8.
UC events include a 21-day Racial Equity & Social Justice Challenge presented by the YWCA of Greater Cincinnati, a Black Feminist Symposium and the C-Ring Women's Leadership Awards.

New approach could treat cancer by rearranging tumor cell structures

The University of Cincinnati’s Jiajie Diao, PhD, and colleagues have published new research showing a proof of concept that rearranging the location of lipid droplets within cells can increase the effectiveness of cell starvation, making it a potential cancer treatment. The research was published as the November cover story in the journal Trends in Biotechnology.
