Teamwork saves lives
Hoxworth Blood Center, Cincinnati Cyclones unite for blood donation
Hoxworth Blood Center, University of Cincinnati, is teaming up with the Cincinnati Cyclones this November to help ensure a steady, life-saving blood supply for patients across the Tristate.
Donors who give blood or platelets between Nov. 1–30 at any of Hoxworth’s seven Neighborhood Donor Centers or select mobile blood drives will receive an exclusive Cincinnati Cyclones hoodie as a thank-you gift, while supplies last.
“We are pleased to continue our partnership with Hoxworth Blood Center this season,” said Kristin Ropp, Cyclones vice president and general manager. “We value our continued collaboration with Hoxworth and look forward to hosting both their team and our fans at Heritage Bank Center for the upcoming blood drive on Nov. 3. We also appreciate the opportunity to recognize November donors with an exclusive Cyclones hoodie as a token of gratitude.”

Donors will receive:
- A Cincinnati Cyclones performance hoodie

- A voucher for a free Donatos pizza
- A voucher for a free Biggby coffee
- Free parking in the Central Riverfront Garage

Honoring veterans through blood donation
In honor of Veterans Day, donors who give blood or blood products on Nov. 10 or 11 at any of Hoxworth’s Neighborhood Donor Centers will receive a voucher for a Cincinnati Cyclones game for two, in addition to the Cyclones hoodie.
Take time to honor those who served our country by giving the gift of life to others in need.
Pucks for Platelets
When platelet donors give four times from Oct. 1-Dec. 31, they will get an invitation to an exclusive Cincinnati Cyclones VIP experience as a thank-you for their ongoing commitment to saving lives. If they donate five or more times before the end of the year, they'll unlock an additional BONUS level with in-event experiences, including dropping the first puck and a pre-game fan tunnel. https://hoxworth.org/pucks-for-platelets.html
A shared mission to save lives close to home
The partnership between Hoxworth Blood Center and the Cincinnati Cyclones aims to inspire the community to donate blood and raise awareness about its vital role in medical treatments, surgeries and emergencies across local hospitals.
“As we head into November, we’re profoundly grateful to our selfless blood donors — the true heroes who give the gift of life,” said David Oh, MD, chief medical officer at Hoxworth Blood Center. “Your generosity is the heartbeat of our mission. We’re excited to partner with our hometown hockey team to thank donors for making a difference in our community.”
