A Bearcats For Life Story

I never intended to stay in Cincinnati forever.

Born and raised in the Queen City, I graduated from high school and picked a college just outside of Chicago. I wanted the big city life! When that college wasn't the right fit, transferring to UC seemed like the best choice from me.

I was a busy working student and didn't take advantage of all the typical campus life offerings UC has, but my internship through UC's journalism department was instrumental in me landing a full time position at Cincinnati CityBeat before I graduated.

After working at that publication for several years, a colleague who left CityBeat to work at UC let me know about a job opportunity here. I've been working at UC for almost 10 years.

Now a Bearcat once again in a new phase of life, I have the opportunity to enjoy so much UC has to offer that I maybe didn't have a chance to explore as a student, and I get to share the powerful stories of other Bearcats who continuously amaze me. This has helped me fall in love with Cincinnati in a new way. I guess I am a Cincinnatian for life after all — and a Bearcat for Life, too.
