Bearcat, Generation NOW founder uses professional credentials earned through UC's Digital Skills Lab
Renika Smiley, Bearcat and Founder & CEO of Generation NOW
Renika J. Smiley received her degree from UC several years ago, and recently returned to our campus through the Office of Professional & Continuing Education (OPCE) to earn her credentials in project management with UC's Digital Skills Lab. Her project management certificate in CAPM® has become a valuable asset in her professional toolkit as founder and CEO of Generation NOW. Renika’s organization is dedicated to providing affordable career training and development to help young professionals succeed.
Headquartered in the 1819 Innovation Hub, Generation NOW has cultivated community partnerships with many local business, large firms, and the USA Regional Chamber. As a member, employers have access to workshops and coaching for their employees and young professionals are provided valuable resources to thrive in a diverse and inclusive workforce. Renita is currently working with OPCE Director, Janet Staderman, to see how Generation NOW can be involved with UC’s Cincinnati Talent Acceleration Program (CTAP).
The next CAPM® certificate training course runs Oct. 25-Nov. 21. You can read more and register through the Office of Professional & Continuing Education.
