DAAP hosts second annual DAAPX Symposium

DAAPX flyer

UC alumni, friends and community members are invited to the college on Friday, April 3, for a morning of face-paced, TEDtalk-style presentations on diverse projects and experiences from DAAP alumni across all majors and degrees.

This edition of DAAPX tackles the topic of Experiential Design, recognizing that as designers and artists, the work of DAAP alumni is created for, and influences or impacts, people. Last fall, the DAAP Alumni Network accepted proposals for presentations to tell a story about a project that was designed with an individual’s or group’s experience in mind. This is your opportunity to see select presentations that are centered on the human experience.

From the design and build of the LAFC Soccer Stadium, to the use of empathy as a driver for design at the Cleveland Clinic, to the reopening of exhibits at the iconic Cincinnati Museum Center (to name a few), this will be a morning you won’t want to miss. You can find the full program here.

Tickets: Complimentary. Includes light breakfast bites and coffee. The first 75 people to arrive will receive a commemorative DAAPX poster designed by Patti Weller-Bresler, BSDE ’84, and Pete Huster, BSDE ’84. This event is open to all alumni, friends and community members.
