New year, new location for five Lindner research centers
Five research centers affiliated with Lindner College of Business move to Carl H. Lindner Hall
Carl H. Lindner Hall is the new home to five University of Cincinnati research centers that moved from U Square At The Loop at 255 Calhoun St., across from UC’s main campus in December of 2019.
The five centers with new locations in Lindner Hall, located at 2906 Woodside Drive, are:
- Carl H. Lindner III Center for Insurance and Risk Management
- Center for Business Analytics
- Center for Entrepreneurship and Commercialization
- Center for Professional Selling
- Real Estate Center
The cross-campus move for UC's Carl H. Lindner College of Business was prompted by space availability, building capacity considerations and opportunities for increased collaboration with academic departments, students, alumni and partners in the Greater Cincinnati business community.
“Our centers provide innovative professional development, research insights and networking opportunities and generate immense value for our business community through projects and programming,” said Marianne Lewis, dean at the Lindner College of Business. “We saw an opportunity to bring five of them into our beautiful new Lindner Hall, and couldn’t pass it up.”
Space availability and increased opportunity to host more projects and programming served as the catalyst for five centers to relocate to Lindner Hall.
The Lindner College of Business boasts six academic research centers. The sixth center, the Goering Center for Family and Private Business, remains at U Square At the Loop.
“Given the nature, frequency and consistently high attendance of our events and programs, U Square At The Loop has been an ideal home for our members,” said Carol Butler, president of the Goering Center. “We look forward to continued, cross-campus collaboration with our peer centers as we fulfill our mission to nurture and educate family and private business to drive a vibrant economy in Greater Cincinnati.”
