What drew you to the UC Sim Center? UC Sim Center gives opportunity to graduate students to work on real life projects. Working on such projects definitely helps me to enhance my skills and that is the reason I wanted to be a part of UC Sim Center.
What have you enjoyed most about working at the Sim Center? Working with my mentor Dr. Hua Hu is the best part. He is supportive and I have learned a lot of new things from him. Also, attending events with my fellow colleagues at the Sim Center is what I like.
What hobbies do you have? I love to read novels in my free time. I also like swimming and listening to songs.
Sauradeep Bhowmick

Major: Ph.D. in Engineering Mechanics
What drew you to the UC Sim Center? As an Engineer, I definitely aspired to be a part of an innovative team which was at the forefront of the engineering R&D industry. The simulation center was just the perfect beginning for that.
What have you enjoyed most about working at the Sim Center? Definitely the work culture, my P&G mentor, Kun, has been very appreciative of the work I do. Given I am also a full-time student, she understands the workload I have and has been very flexible about the entire process so as to let me comfortably sway between my Ph.D. and Sim Center work. The environment is very relaxed, all my colleagues have been extremely helpful whenever I reached out to them in any matter. Last but not the least, the knowledge I gathered here is invaluable.
What hobbies do you have? My major hobbies include music, cinema, following sports and reading in no particular order.

What drew you to the UC Sim Center? The opportunity to work on industry grade projects while pursuing the graduate studies is what motivated me to work in the Sim Center. The guidance of mentors from P&G provides core engineering and analytical abilities in problem solving, which adds to the overall academic value.
What have you enjoyed most about working at the Sim Center? Finding fellow peers from various graduate and under graduate programs and different departments from University of Cincinnati working on the same project with accomplished mentors helps greatly in obtaining different perspectives and insights.
What hobbies do you have? Drawing, travelling, watching movies.

University of Cincinnati alumni Mohammad H. Qayoumi, MS ’79, MS ’80, MBA ’84, PhD ’83 and Najia Karim, BS ’82, MEd ’83, RD, have made a $4 million gift supporting two of the university’s colleges. A donation from the couple establishes a fund and an endowed chair at the College of Engineering and Applied Science, as well as an endowed chair at the College of Allied Health Sciences.

UC mechanical engineering student Brooke Boeding parlayed her co-op at an Ohio engineering and consulting company into a full-time job. Her co-op adviser not only helped her land her first co-op job but also provided guidance to launch her career.
