New Bearcat football season brings parking changes
First game set for Thursday, Aug. 29
The UC Bearcats kick off their season opener in Nippert Stadium Thursday, Aug. 29. The excitement that comes with the start of football season also brings along some changes in parking.
Football fans will begin arriving on campus as early as Noon for tailgating, with heaviest traffic beginning at 4 p.m.
Here are some of the changes you can expect as a result of the game:
Monthly Permit Holders:
- Every effort is made to ensure parking for monthly permit holders in their specified garage; however, with this being a weeknight event, you may be moved to another garage if necessary. We recommend you plan on arriving to campus earlier than normal for classes if you are commuting, etc.
- Monthly/Semester permit holders will need to present their current parking credential for access (e.g., UC ID, Fast Pass or hang tag). Please have the credential out and ready to show the officer prior to arriving at your facility.
For cash parking customers:
- CCM, Varsity Village, Calhoun, Corry, Clifton Court and University Avenue garages will be Pass Only Parking. There will be no visitor parking available in these facilities beginning at Noon.
Event parking for the following facilities will begin at 2 p.m.:
- Stratford and Eden garages will be $20 cash entry
- Stratford and Eden parking can be purchased for $15 online in advance (until game time or sold out), to ensure parking in that facility.
- Woodside parking can be purchased for $20 online in advance (until game time or sold out), to ensure parking in that facility. There will be no cash parking after 2 p.m.
Event parking for Campus Green Garage will begin at 1 p.m.
- Campus Green garage is the designated ADA event facility.
- Parking can be purchased for $20 online (until game time or sold out), to ensure parking in that facility. A state-issued ADA placard is required with online parking pass for entry.
