NBC News: 5-year-old receives prosthetic hand from UC student engineers

Alice Kurylo was born with a smaller right hand than left, which made everyday movements more challenging. That’s when student engineers at the University of Cincinnati stepped in to create a pink mechanical hand. Now Alice can hold hands and can give high-fives.

UC student group EnableUC manufactures 3D-printed parts to create inexpensive custom prosthetics for children across the country. Watch Alice's pink hand in action in her interview on NBC Nightly News.
