Bearcats give back

Celebrate UC's Bicentennial by helping others

Join the Bicentennial celebration and support the tradition UC has built by giving back to the community. Through December 2019, the Bearcats Give Back program will provide opportunities to assist several local nonprofit and community organizations by collecting in-kind donations. This includes two UC programs — UC AmeriCats and the UC Bearcat Pantry

The month of July focuses on collecting school supplies. Please bring in school supplies including, notebooks, pencils, crayons, coloring pencils, glue sticks and bottles, construction paper, lined paper, backpacks and binders. 

The following locations will have collection spots through December:

  • Tangeman University Center Atrium desk
  • Campus Recreation Center Front desk 
  • Edwards 4 Keys & Badges Office
  • University Hall, Suite 300, HR front desk
  • College of Medicine Fitness Center at CARE/Crawley

Future theme collections will include inter coats, gloves in scarves in October as well as Giving Tree requests in December. 

Bearcats Give Back supports the following organizations:

  • Crayons to Computers
  • Indigo Hippo
  • Lighthouse Youth Services
  • Neediest Kids of All
  • ProKids
  • Ronald McDonald House
  • Shelterhouse
  • UC AmeriCats
  • UC Serves

Please also consider donating to the Hoxworth Blood Center during the months of September and November.
