The University of Cincinnati's Equity & Inclusion Conference committee is looking for volunteers to help at this year's 11th annual conference on Wednesday, April 3. Shifts are an hour long from 7 a.m.- 5 p.m. Whether you need service hours or just want to help, please consider signing up to volunteer. Space is limited and spots will fill up quick, so be sure to sign up now in order to secure your spot.
Conference Keynote Speaker
Dr. Shaun R Harper, Keynote Speaker
Our keynote speaker for this year's conference is Shaun R. Harper, PhD. Harper is a Provost Professor in the Rossier School of Education and Marshall School of Business, the Clifford and Betty Allen Chair in Urban Leadership and executive director of the USC Race and Equity Center. Harper’s research focuses on race and student success in higher education, as well as boys and men of color in the United States. He has published more than 100 peer-reviewed journal articles and other academic publications and received more than $12 million in research grants. Johns Hopkins University Press is publishing his 13th book, "Race Matters in College." His research has been cited in more than 5,000 published studies. The New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Chronicle of Higher Education and more 11,000 newspapers have quoted Professor Harper and featured his research. He spent a decade on the University of Pennsylvania faculty, where he founded the Center for the Study of Race & Equity in Education.

The publication dove into a Scioto Analysis survey of 18 economists to weigh the pros and cons of nuclear energy. One economist featured was Iryna Topolyan, PhD, professor of economics at the Carl H. Lindner College of Business.
