UC Clermont’s Calico Children’s Theatre has announced its 2018-19 season. Calico Children’s Theatre is a UC Clermont College initiative that aims to provide high quality entertainment for families with young children. All performances are approximately one hour long and held in the Krueger Auditorium on the UC Clermont campus at 4200 Clermont College Drive, Batavia, Ohio 45103.
"Rumpelstiltzkin"
Performed by The Frisch Marionettes

Take a journey to Goblin’s Hallow with The Frisch Marionettes. Adapted from the Brothers’ Grimm classic tale, this story teaches the importance of making promises that one can keep and the perils of exaggerating the truth. Working primarily with marionettes, The Frisch Marionettes perform in the traditional styles of 19th Century European Puppetry. Drawing inspiration from the great European troupes such as the Salzburg Marionette Theatre, they endeavor to bring one of the great old world arts to the contemporary audience. Recommended for grades pre-K-6.

Santa sends toy-making elves to the shoemaker shop while the Shoemaker finds dolls in his shop — but all is right in this heartwarming, holiday musical! Join us as Virginia Rep on Tour takes a Yuletide spin on the classic Brothers’ Grimm fairy tale. Delight in the magical story of a poor Shoemaker and the magical elves who show him the true meaning of Christmas! Recommended for grades K-6.

Building Design: 27 interesting innovations and prototypes from the Venice Biennale

University of Cincinnati architecture students and faculty were featured in Building Design for their installation “INOSCULAE,” exhibited at the 2025 Venice Biennale. The project, directed by DAAP associate professor Christoph Klemmt, was recognized by journalist Mary Richardson as one of the top 27 global innovations in sustainable design.
