A Bearcats For Life Story
Being a Bearcat is woven into my identity.
I’m a third-generation Bearcat and the ninth in my family to graduate from UC. It’s where I met my husband, my best friends, and my most influential mentors.
Do you have a Bearcats for Life story?
I came to UC as an 18-year-old unsure of my path, but the university gave me space to explore, to fail and try again, and to discover my strengths. Through classes, internships, and student organizations, I gained hands-on opportunities to learn, grow, and ask questions. My first industry role—a student internship in UC’s marketing office—was the experience that showed me what I wanted to do with my career. It not only set me on that path but gave me skills and lessons I still draw on more than a decade later.
The Bearcat spirit has carried into every part of my life: our wedding included UC touches, the first flag we hung at our home was red and black, and we’ve proudly held football and basketball season tickets—even flying back to Cincinnati for games when we lived out of town. The University of Cincinnati isn’t just where I went to school; it’s where I became who I am, personally and professionally, and it will always be part of who I’ll become.
